What film or films do you find scary, all these years later? "Jaws" didn't last and now it's campy. "The Ring"? Just daft... "Saw"? Yechy
FilmBuzz
:
Oohhh.. "The Exorcist" is on AMC. I won't watch it at bedtime, though, it's *still* scary after all these years. Along with "The Shining"!

@LeStew
Yes, I really liked that movie too, doubly so because I had a red Volvo c70 coupe exactly like what he drove in the film. :-)

@FilmBuzz
but Val Kilmer was awesome as the saint...I wish they'd make a sequel out of that
FilmBuzz
:
Ooops, sorry, he was in "License to Kill". "View to a Kill" was with Roger Moore (who was better as The Saint, imo)
FilmBuzz
:
Timothy Dalton starred as Bond in "The Living Daylights" and "View to a Kill", both pretty forgettable, I think. Anyone disagree?
FilmBuzz
:
What about any of the Timothy Dalton Bond movies?
FilmBuzz
:
I have to say that Moonraker was one of the *worst* I can think of. Not very far from Austin Powers parody, with Keil and such.
FilmBuzz
:
Two votes so far, one for "Live and Let Die" (very memorable theme song) and one for "Any with Sean Connery"
FilmBuzz
:
Okay, we talked about the best Bond in cinema, but what was the best Bond *film* in your opinion?
FilmBuzz
:
Interesting candor from "I Am Legend" director Lawrence: "the moment Braga and her kid show up, the plot starts to fall apart" I agree!

@FilmBuzz
Do I really want to see the new Mummy flick first-run? I might get trampled ;)
FilmBuzz
:
.. and I rented "Diamonds are Forever" to watch tonight. With Connery, the *best* James Bond, in my opinion.

@FilmBuzz
I absolutely agree, really like that movie, thought the Shakespearian elements were very cool too
FilmBuzz
:
Bruckheimer-produced "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" pushed out an additional year by Disney pics. Now it'll be just before "Thor".
FilmBuzz
:
Buzz - though improbable - is that Johnny Depp might be cast as The Riddler in the next Dark Knight film.
FilmBuzz
:
Enjoyed "Rules of Deception", by Chris Reich? Paramount has hired Adam Cozad to do a movie treatment.
FilmBuzz
:
Here's one I hope they live stream: Jeff Katzenberg and James Cameron co-keynote 3DX, a 3D film tech festival this November.
FilmBuzz
:
How long do films take to fully bake? Disney's "Prince and the Frog" animation due out Xmas 2009, trailer being sneak previewed already.

@FilmBuzz
that's crazy... perhaps Harry puts on a magical version of Equus at Hogwarts
FilmBuzz
:
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: Will it get an "R" rating? Remember, The Dark Knight is only PG-13, which I find shocking!
FilmBuzz
:
"The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" getting bad reviews. Variety: "must, dust and rust emanating from third installment of franchise"
FilmBuzz
:
A surprising choice for Buena Vista/Disney: they'll be distributor for "The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas", a story of concentration camps.
FilmBuzz
:
Mike Myers and Mike McCullers are working on shooting script for ... Austin Powers 4! *IF* they do it, I hope it's as good as the first 3!
FilmBuzz
:
Another in the "I can wait, thanks" category: Howard Stern is involved in remake of "Rock 'n Roll High School"
FilmBuzz
:
@LeStew
You say you're shocked Burton and Depp are working together, but the buzz is that there's no love lost between 'em at this point...
FilmBuzz
:
Rumor has it... Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland project will have Johnny Depp as... any guess? The Mad Hatter!
FilmBuzz
:
I definitely fear the worst: WB developing "Marvin the Martian" big-screen feature with Alcon. Jeez.
FilmBuzz
:
Like Guillermo del Toro? Well, buzz has it that he's working with Miramax on remake of "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark". It's sure to be weird
FilmBuzz
:
Four years later, Paramount is still trying to get "Fashionistas" out the door. Newest at heml? Donald Petrie. Good luck.

@FilmBuzz
I just got done watching two movies: Black Sheep & Fido. You gotta watch them both. The first is bad, the other is good.
FilmBuzz
:
@gmanreviews
ah, well, that'd be a bit tricky since I'm in Colorado. Oh well, we can twitter about the movie. :-)
FilmBuzz
:
@gmanreviews
Where you based? Maybe we can have a "Good, Bad, and Weird" screener party? :-)
gmanreviews
:
@FilmBuzz
only thing is, I know that I'll have to wait till I can get an Import DVD or something, no way that coming out in JA

FilmBuzz

@gmanreviews
you've seen the trailer to "The Good, The Bad, The Weird"? Where? We need a URL, man!
FilmBuzz
:
Ya gotta love horror movies. New Friday the 13th film producers promise new won't involve hell, deep space or Manhattan. :-)
FilmBuzz
:
Kim's "The Good, The Bad, The Weird" opened in
#1
spot in Korea. Coming, with subtitles, to America? Soon...
FilmBuzz

British director John Boorman is reviving his epic film project focused on Roman Emperor Hadrian. If he can pull it off, that'll be great!
