Breaking news at Comic-Con San Diego: A sequel to the successful "300". Written by Frank Miller. Nice!
FilmBuzz
:
Too bad, Chris Carter. New X-Files film receives reviews that "not much better than an average episode of the venerable series"

Cheerleader possessed by demon, feeds off boys in Minnesota town. Best friend must stop her, go after Satan-worshiping band: Jennifer's Body

@Sweetnote
I can imagine that they'll have an educational campaign to teach you how to interact with Rocky Horror on TV screen... yech

@FilmBuzz
Please say it isn't so! Oh My Gosh! When are the studios EVER gonna learn? You're right VERY depressing news! Rocky!! Rocky!!!
FilmBuzz
:
Okay, so was Moses in The Ten Commandments REALLY Charlton Heston's best role on screen??

@FilmBuzz
Haha! Man I could never work up the courage to the the 2001 version of a Charlton Heston classic. I knew there was no contest.
FilmBuzz
:
Tried watching "Planet of the Apes" remake from 2001 with Wahlberg, Giomatti and Roth, but 20 minutes in it was clear it just sucks. Yech.

@FilmBuzz
true...I just think I might of been guilty of overlooking some of its flaws because of the awesome performance of Heath Ledger
FilmBuzz
:
@bowlerinaz
Yes, that aspect of The Dark Knight was a bit manipulative of us audience members. An interesting - and annoying - storyline
FilmBuzz
:
Very interesting choice of next project: Tim Burton's working on Alice Down Under.
FilmBuzz
:
@bowlerinaz
I actually felt myself dozing off a tiny bit a coupe of times later in the movie. It's really pretty long too. :-)

:
@FilmBuzz
I saw it with someone who got up and left 45 mins into it...but i am in the majority of those who loved it
FilmBuzz
:
@MarkEckenrode
It wasn't rated R? That shocks me. Says a lot about our society - as does the popularity of the film given its theme.
FilmBuzz
:
By the way,
@mariosundar
, I bet that there are a lot more people who didn't like The Dark Knight. We're in a bubble here in Twitterville.
FilmBuzz
:
@MarkEckenrode
sure, but I think it's different in that you see The Godfather expecting it to be violent/aggressive. But a batman film?
FilmBuzz
:
Came out of the theater reeling (pun not intended) and rady to just go hide in a cave or something.
FilmBuzz
:
I remember walking out of "Enter the Dragon" being conscious that I was in a different frame of mind than normal. Same with The Dark Knight.
FilmBuzz
:
I liked how they played with the story arc, the production was brilliantly done, but it felt like too much, oozing into a horror film.
FilmBuzz
:
So, dare I say it for the flim now at
#1
on IMDB? I didn't like The Dark Knight. Too depressing, too intense, too aggressive.
FilmBuzz
:
Congrats New Orleans: 14 productions shot there in 2007 and so far 13 have been made 10 more scouting for locations in the Big Easy in '08
FilmBuzz
:
Ah, earlier I mentioned Ben Lyons as replacement for "At The Movies". Turns out he's E! Entertainment critic. Psst Disney, wrong demographic
FilmBuzz
:
Sacha Baron Cohen as an ambulance-chasing personal injury lawyer? Fox Atomic just bought rights to it. Working title: Accidentes.

Want to join me to see The Dark Knight today? 3:25 showing @ Boulder Century. Meet in front at 3:15. Msg me so I know to expect you!

@a2armory
yeah, I think I agree with that. What are you thinking of, however, in particular?

@FilmBuzz
Zemekis always cops out in the end, very few of his films hold up in my opinion

Love Jodie Foster. One of my old faves is Somersby. Excellent movie.
FilmBuzz

Watching Jodie Foster in the splendid, smart sci-fi film "Contact". Any other fans?
FilmBuzz
:
Hopefully I will be able to get to see Dark Knight tomorrow afternoon. Finally.
FilmBuzz
:
Ken Follett's fascinating "Pillars of the Earth" set for a miniseries. If they do it right... :-)
FilmBuzz
:
New hosts for "At The Movies" announced: Ben Lyons and Ben Mankiewicz. The latter is pretty good (works on AMC) but Lyons? No clue.
FilmBuzz
:
Bronx-set "City Island" started shooting today in NYC, with Alan Arkin, Andy Garcia, Emily Mortimer and Julianna Margulies starring.
FilmBuzz
:
Richard Roeper quits "At The Movies". Next day, Roger Ebert has announced he's out too. Maybe Ebert will get into blogging?
FilmBuzz
:
Heard from yet another person that Dark Knight was a big thumb's up. Really jonesing to see it, just have to clear my schedule!
FilmBuzz
:
IFC Films announced it picked up US rights to the Asian comedy "Ping Pong Playa". I already like the title. The film? We'll see.
